Here’s what’s up with Sonoma’s Sausage Emporium

Posted on September 4, 2019 by Sonoma Valley Sun

Miranda Ives takes a last look around her successful (but small) restaurant, soon to move into a larger space, as The Sausage Emporium, on Sonoma Plaza. “After two fantastic years at this current location, we are looking forward to opening our new and improved cafe, marketplace and bar in the coming months at 31 East Napa Street.”

The final day in the El Paseo shops location is Sunday, September 8.

Ives and her consultant (and mom) Linda Welch will be working on developing the new restaurant, which “will have a lot of the old favorites on the menu as well as some fantastic new additions. We will be featuring breakfast, brunch lunch, and supper. The new space is much larger with more seating.”

The Plaza space is the site of a vacated clothing store. “Our beer and wine license has now been posted, we are working on final blueprints with our Sonoma based architect, Michael Ross, and hope to be breaking ground soon on the design and refurbishment of the new space,” Ives said.

The business (a ‘Best Hot Dog’ winner in The Sun readers poll) has introduced an online Sausage Subscription, offering delivery of sausages and in California and other US States. Visit societysonoma.com for more details.
