A ‘Chorus’ of cheers

Posted on June 18, 2019 by Sonoma Valley Sun

The roars you heard from the Glen Ellen mountain top over the weekend were the sold-out crowds going nuts for Broadway Under The Stars‘ opening show — a full production of A Chorus Line.
The outdoor space was electric with “an amazing effervescence of energy” as the show ended to a long and rousing standing ovation, says Stephan Stubbins, co-executive director of Transcendence Theatre Company.

Directed by Amy Miller (who has a fascinating history with the show), it was the company’s first full musical, rather than a review of Broadway and pop hits. For Stubbins, it “signified a memorable and epic moment in the life and history of our company. We received such a wonderful response from the community as our talented team of Broadway professionals put their hearts on the line. We can’t thank our community of supporters enough for making it possible.”
