Rymer/Mainardi for Hospital Board

Posted on October 21, 2018 by Sonoma Valley Sun

Joshua Rymer and Michael Mainardi are running as a team for the Sonoma Valley District Hospital Board.  They are supremely well qualified for this difficult and largely unappreciated job.

The challenges of running a community hospital are many and the solutions complex, never more so than in today’s world.  The experience and competence brought to the community by Mindardi and Rymer are an invaluable asset to Sonoma Valley. Both Dr. Mainardi and Mr. Rymer have strong skills in financial oversight and believe that high quality care is essential for a community hospital to survive.

Dr. Mainardi’s career as a physician and recently Chair of the Board of the Sonoma Valley Community Health Center are critical attributes that he will bring to his service on the District Hospital Board.  His experience includes a 25 year career as Associate Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and as Medical Director of the Mid-Peninsula Endoscopy Center.  His extensive private practice was in the San Mateo/Burlingame area.

Joshua Rymer’s service to the Sonoma Valley Community has been extraordinary.  He is currently serving as Board Chair of the Sonoma Valley District Hospital Board and also served as Board President of the Sonoma Valley Fund.  He brings extensive experience as a management consultant and business coach.  Under Rymer’s leadership the Hospital Board has undertaken a strategy that will create a sustainable future for our hospital in a very difficult environment.  It moves away from a reliance on inpatient volumes and provides a greater emphasis on specialty care for our aging community.

Both of these exceptional men are ready to serve in an important role for our valley.  They look forward to bringing new and better services to our Hospital District.  Vote Mainardi and Rymer for Sonoma Valley District Hospital Board.
