The Sonoma Valley Housing Group has recommended four candidates in the three-seat Sonoma City Council race. Chris Petlock, Rachel Hundley, Logan Harvey and Jack Ding “support our sense of urgency regarding the lack of affordable housing in our community,” said Dave Ransom, chair of the grassroots group.
His full statement:
“We considered candidate positions on such issues as just cause eviction, rent control, increasing density development in the City, extension of the Urban Growth Boundary, passage of Proposition 10 (which returns local government powers to limit rent increases) and housing impact fees.
“When a candidate has been an incumbent on the City Council or the Planning Commission, we have also considered their voting record and actions taken to pursue critical housing needs.
“Our support goes to: Chris Petlock, Rachel Hundley, Logan Harvey and Jack Ding.”
