Sonoma’s largest-ever public art installation, a temporary outdoor sculpture included in the Sonoma Valley of Art’s “Albert Paley: Thresholds” exhibition, will be celebrated with a ribbon cutting July 1 on Sonoma Plaza.

The work is one of nine large-scale sculptures placed in the downtown area, including two others in the Plaza (pictured), and the Sonoma Community Center, Depot Park and museum offices on Broadway.

The public celebration will begin at 2 p.m. near the duck pond on the Plaza’s south west corner. Speakers include Sonoma Mayor Rachel Hundley and Linda Cano, SVMA executive director.
