Navy officer (and NASCAR driver) headlines Military Career Day

NASCAR driver and active U.S. Navy Lt. Jesse Iwuji will be a speaker on Friday, June 23 at Military Career Day at Sonoma Raceway. The event will include a jobs workshop—including counseling on interviewing techniques and resume building, panel discussion and a three-hour career fair featuring more than 70 Bay Area companies.

This veterans Career Day that is open to all active military, National Guard, reserve members, veterans and military spouses.  To register, visit here.

The third annual Career Day will have a special focus on helping veterans with a service-related disability transition into long-term civilian careers.

Another featured speaker will be PG&E VP of Human Resources, Mary King, a former Army captain and West Point graduate who suffered an injury while serving the Army. King is on the board of directors of Sentinels of Freedom, a nationwide nonprofit that helps severely wounded and injured post-9/11 veterans in successfully completing higher education and finding career-focused employment.
